ROUND TWO: Special Call for Submissions
Special Call for Submissions: Second Round of Pandemic Chapbooks to Support Charitable Giving
After the amazing success of our first round of charitable pandemic chapbook anthologies--March 2020 (845 Press) and Is It Less Lonely Like This: isolation collaborations (Collusion Books)--we are teaming up again with Collusion Books to produce a second round!
845 Press Call: Poetry related to the chapbook anthology’s title: June 2020. Submissions can be related to the pandemic, the protests against racial discrimination, or any other significant current event. We are looking for positive elements in this round of poetry. Please submit only one poem each. Deadline: June 30, 2020
Collusion Books Call: Collaborative poetry related to the chapbook anthology’s theme: “future(s).” Please submit only one collaborative piece per pair/group of collaborators. Deadline: June 30, 2020
Both chapbook anthologies are hosted on The Temz Review’s submissions manager, Moksha. Please ensure you choose the correct folder to submit to. The link to the submissions manager is the following:
“Purchasing” the Second Round of Chapbooks: RESERVE YOUR COPY NOW
Given the Black Lives Matter protests against racial discrimination and the rise of domestic violence and other forms of insecurity for women and LGBTQ+ folx during the pandemic, the charitable focus is changing somewhat for this second round of chapbooks. To “purchase” a copy of each, simply email an eligible receipt to either press. Eligible receipts demonstrate donations to women’s shelters, domestic violence shelters, anti-domestic-violence initiatives, organizations supporting LGBTQ+ folx, and organizations supporting racial equality (including American community bail funds). Also eligible are receipts from small presses / indie bookstores for books written by LGBTQ+ authors, authors who belong to marginalized sexes/genders (including women/womxn), and Black authors. Receipts must be dated June 1, 2020, or later. No donation or purchase is too small. A copy of each chapbook will be emailed to you as soon as they are ready (early July).
If you cannot make a donation or purchase at this time, you can instead email us the name of an eligible charitable organization you would like to support: we’ll send you both chapbooks and make a modest donation on your behalf.
Email The Temz Review (email@example.com) and/or Collusion Books (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your receipt to reserve your copies! You can also "purchase" (with a receipt) the new chapbooks when they are ready in early July.
First Round of Pandemic Chapbooks for Charitable Giving
How to "purchase" a copy of each:
We know that this is a very difficult time, with unprecedentedly high unemployment and massive financial pressures for individuals and households. If you are unable to make a contribution, just email either press to let us know, and we will make one on your behalf! You will receive both the PDF copy of March 2020: A COVID-19 Anthology AND the access password to view Is It Less Lonely Like This: isolation collaborations
